    Browning BLR in 22-250 perhaps?

Varmint (I'm assuming you mean coyotes and the like) calibers mostly come in pointy bullets....don't lend themselves well to tubular magazines.

    Define 'varmint type'.
Yotes at longer distances...or 200 yd. gophers?
BLR, Savage 99 or Winchester 88 all have clips for the pointy bullets.
The caliber will determine which one.
The 'varmint type' will determine which Caliber.

A BLR as everybody has said or look for a Savage 99 in 250 and have re-barreled to 22-250.
I've thought about trying that myself..

I have a 300 Savage take down and I made a 250-3000 and a 22-250 barrels for it. There are older savages in 5.7x54R (22 Savage HP) . I also have a 25-20Win a screamer of a varmiter in 1892...lol it is a blast to shoot and under 150 yds a tack driver with peep sights. Levers are fun so just go shoot em.

I've never seen a clip fed levergun before. Pretty sure they don't exist, except the russian versions of the M1895.

All Browning Lever Rifles and the newer Savage 99's were clip feed. The older Savages had an internal rotary magazine allowing the use of pointed bullets. The winchester 88's also had a mag. I had one in 284 win fun gun
