    Yes that is where the name of the lake came from! What was your grandparent's names?

    Also back in the 30s my Great Grandfather was the horse wrangler for Lord and Lady Tweedsmuir on their trip to the park that bears their name. He was mentioned in the National Geographic article that was done up about the trip.

    Fabulous old pics but what struck me was the apparent careless manner in which the rifles were held.

    Bruce Thompson would be my grandad, he had owned a big guiding area around burns lake here back before my time. I think it's split into a few guide areas now.
