We looked into getting a crop protection permit, they said you couldn't use decoys or calling. Seemed like a huge pain in the ass to pass shoot a few birds

That would make sense. Kind of hard to justify crop protection when you are trying to attract the birds in to a field. But if you know of fields they like to come into game on.

I wonder if it's just like a kill permit like what happens in Alberta?......you can shoot them down but can't pick them up....on flip side makes for great coyote hunting the next day....so a fellow rigger said
