    Woody project pics

Our woody nest box project has been pretty successful this year with almost 20 or the 60 boxes we have out occupied by ducks. A lot also have tree swallows.
We had one successful hooded Merganser and she was also in the same box last year. Our trail cameras picked up lots of great photos, some are washed out colors but we bought cheap cameras and for the most part it was a big success to this year!
Here's some of the latest pics!

Very nice work. I saw a pair of wood ducks in a small swamp off Hayward street in Mission the other day.

Down by the dragstrip. By the gate. Lots of them there.

Love the barn owl. My father has a couple of boxes at his pond in Oliver. Lots of woodies there. Lots of old cottonwood trees with holes in them. A few were nesting in one. Then something made the hole bigger. No more nesting there.
