It's a bit weather dependent but I've always started seeing them about May1st, give or take a week but usually by mid May you'll see broods everywhere. K
Saw a goose leading her troop last week down the side Of vedder rd in Chwk last Friday.
right after they hatch
".....It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of a Trudeau government than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their prime minister......"
Had a goose come nest in the planter on my balcony every year for about 5 years. She'd pump out 6-8 goslings each time and they would usually hatch in the last week of April. Man I miss her... moved 2 years ago... so reliable too and we'd hang out a bit every morning and every night. Good listener unless I got too close, then she'd hiss.
One year a couple of her goslings jumped off the deck (2nd floor) early and dad wasn't around to walk them down to the pond like usually. She was all freaking out and flailing around. I went downstairs and brought them back up... was strange when i brought them back to her... you could see all her instincts wanted to flip out all twitching like she wanted to go nuts, but she knew enough what was going on and kept it under control.
Got hundreds of pics of my old goose and her goslings I should dig some up.
Always wanted to have her for dinner lol

Just came back from southern Ontario and seen goslings there. Farmer told me it was the earliest he has ever seen them was 8 with a low of 0 no bugs don't know what they were going to eat
Always start seeing them the last week of April here in the LML.....
Seen the first batch of gosling today. The gander was willing to fight any car that drove down the road.
Just back from fishing the Bow River at Calgary. Lots of pairs both geese and mallards but only saw one clutch of goslings. By the long weekend there are usually lots.
