Judging by the claw marks I could make out, and the straight line that can be drawn between the main paw and the toes, I'm thinking griz...this guy went for a stoll then back up higher to den...older tracks..his stoll was about 3 miles..

And I should add that while in this area of R4 that I had frequented in the past, I almost never before saw mule deer...this trip I saw 60 - 70 deer, probably 20 of those being muleys, and a lot of bucks, including one that is gonna be a wall hanger...so a very good sign..

Thank you, no, this wasn't a draw, I just wanted to go higher to get a better view of the lay of the land for potential elk hunting...then just hunted lower for blackies..

But my draw for May for griz in another region I didn't have any luck on, and got limited time to hunt it..
