not uncommon.
here's a deer i was on one season.
saw this deer day after day pre-season, and always in the same spot.
and times i went there and didn't see him, i would walk the area learning how he was travelling it, where he was coming from and going to.
and it almost all worked out right.
opening day of bow season, i was in there a couple hours before light, but sat on the route he used to come to this spot.
and it all worked out perfectly, but i couldn't get the shot.
we were face to face, mere feet from each other too, and that was the last time i ever saw him.
then some machines moved in and destroyed that entire area, levelled it all.
