Tagged out on blacktails!

It's been crazy busy at the shop in preparation for the christmas shows. I managed to get some time away from the knife making to do my favorite part of the job, knife testing I shot two blacktails less than a week apart! I love the rut! Both were taken on classic BT hunting days, drizzly and foggy. The first was a spiker that I happened across on a road while returing from a camping trip. The second was a 3x2 (only just) , much heavier bodied and my biggest BT to date (this one was when I was actually hunting, on foot)! Very happy to have meat in the freezer again. Many thanks to my awesome hunting partner ("beard" on the forum here) Now to fill my WT tag... Good luck to all of you during the rut!

Thanks wenrot! Yes hew does, I think the photo makes him look smaller too. Without a head guts or bottom half of legs he was still hard to get into the fridge between the two of us!

There is a provincial bag limit of three deer per hunter. There is no rule, as far as I know, about only 2 of them being bucks. Check the regs again, I just did. If there is something I'm missing here please correct me...
