A suggestion. Im sure there are other user groups that might want to participate in the awareness campaign. Make some calls to others.

You know, the irony of this is that Aspen Planers is located on the Cayoosh Creek Indian Reserve which also employs people of the Stla'atl'imx Nation. I would love to know how a person can afford to stay at a road block for 6 or 7 months and still pay their bills?? Are they on EI whats the deal? I have a family and there is no way I can afford to leave my job to hang out in the woods.
On another note, forestry has come a long ways and I think they have done a decent job at making it renewable.

I am a Lillooet local and have been stopped and talked to these individuals. They are blocking one road to stop the proposed logging in the area after a road was pushed through a archaeological site in their opinion. Yeah they will stop you and ask some questions but their note taking and documentation has also assisted in catching a poacher.

They are building a cabin and plan on remaining on site through the winter. I really don't think that this camp is necessary but in no way did they interfere with my hunt nor the hunt of anyone in my camp. There are most certainly worse camps and protests out there.

So, how's the hunting been round and in Yalakom these days??
Been years since I've been in there, is the road still pretty sketchy in places??

Road is sketchy in spots. Hunting has been slow in there as of late lots of wolf sign wherever the deer or moose are hanging out. Wolves actually killed a deer about 100-150 yards from our camp. Our group was able to take two bucks out with us but lots of ground needed to be covered on foot and in trucks for sightings. The deer are there just have to work for them.

Thanks for the reply....I assume the sheep aren't doing so well still.

I don't target the sheep so not really an expert but the numbers we run into are definitely down. I did see one 3/4 and a half curl in the Nine Mile sheep closure though.
