I had an amazing time with www.steamboatmountainoutfitters.ca , good guys...great food, accommodations and the adventure on horseback was amazing! I went into this trip a little nervous with all the stories of sore knees and butt from riding, thankfully the guys mix it up on the trail with riding and walking to help loosen up things. I ended up never having any issues!
The ride in was beautiful and relaxing, weather was cold and snowy on the way in and hot on the way out.
Unfortunately we came home with no Moose, but like any hunt nothing is 100%. We did see two nice non legal Bulls, three Grizzlies, Cow Elk and had a hair raising experience by accidentally walking in on a Grizzly Kill.
Steamboat Mnt Outfitters offers BC Residents a service i highly suggest one should try, im already planning to return next year. This time earlier in the season and possibly with my daughter as the shooter
