    One thing to check or be aware of with the Zeiss is the forward or objective lenses. Try focusing your Zeiss and watch the lens. I think you might find that they moves back and forth as they are probably supposed to. If so, then they may not be waterproof or dustproof. Not that , that makes them any less functional, just something to be awre of. I have a pair of Zeiss 10 x 42's and really like them. I ran into an old sheep hunter in gang ranch years ago who pointed this design issue out to me. He told me that he didn't use Zeiss for that reason, and wanted binoculars that all adjustments were done internally, or behind a seal.

    I have been using 10x 40 Diavari binos for 20 years every body thought I was nuts spending $1500 back then but after a few hrs glassing my eyes were great and my budys were looking for tylenol because of headaches. Now they all have Ziess. I wouldnt give them up for anything . There as good as anything outthere !
