You could use NWTF scoring method.....

OOPS ! I did not think that far ahead.

I guess 1 point for each full inch of the beard (7" beard = 7 points).
1 point for every 1/8 inch of the spur (1 1/4" spur = 10 points)

Any other ideas ?

Great idea, should have come sooner, as some have their Tom now and may not qualify due to no evidence or can they try again in another MU?

Your right, this should have been started sooner.
As far as evidence, I saved the beard & spurs from mine. Hopefully everyone who has taken a tom did the same. If not, go to another open M.U. and get one more. There is still alot of time.

What??? Are you sure this is legal??? Can we really bag another in a different MU??? Anyone confirm this?

Oh Oh , TURKEY MASTER MARK might be right.
Thats one reason I reread the regs thru the year.
Guess I should have done so befor my last reply !

The provincial bag limit for bearded turkey is 1, but for region 8 the limit is only 2, of which only 1 can come from the spring season and 1 must come from the fall season. select MU's only) So for those of you with no evidence and a region 8 turk, you may be SOL. A region 4 bearded turk would put you over the provincial limit.
Or since most have already posted the particulars of their turks we may have to go by the honor system and allow their info to stand because when they posted their was never any indication a contest might be started and therefore no reason to elaborate on the specs of said bird.

Just my opinion, since I don't have a bird I have no stake in the contest as of yet. Season's not over though.
