    Bill, no broadheads lubing the shafts makes a difference. Not quite like shooting the long bow when a bail of straw was all you needed!

    Forgot to mention that the bolts were so closely grouped together that it was hard to pull one out. I now shoot at individual targets for fear of damaging a bolt.

    I have the matrix 405 and ran across this problem. My advise to you is this.

    1. Register at Excalibur crossbow forum

    2. Post on the forum saying you're looking for a Danny Miller Arrow puller.

    I kid you not you will want 3 of these arrow pullers. I can pull out my zombie slayers that are buried right to the fletching with one hand!

    Yes they are out now, I bought an arrow puller that just slid on the shaft so I made one up and it is working great!
