So many plums, Branches are breaking

We planted this as a seedling some 8 years ago in Cloverdale. Two years ago we got 2 plums and a sqirrel or something ate them before they ripened. Last year we gave away some 30 lbs of plums. This year we have so many that branches are breaking. They are easily 2-3 inch in diameter.

Should consider pruning the tree so its not so scraggly. That will let the branches thicken and be able to handle more weight.

I have 23 trees in a gvrd city lot. You need to start chopping! There are lots of online tutorials...even "fruit tube". Will go step by step to train on how pruin and train trees, the goal is to be able to pick all fruit by hand and have the tree carry a full load. It is easy to learn and will even save some branches.

Looks like you may need to hone your pruning and thinning skills a wee bit.
