Tomorrow night I will be picking up a new to me recurve that is quite a bit older than me. I have not seen it in person yet but from the pics it looks very nice. I will post some pics and hopefully a review of an awesome shooting bow. If not it will be a lovely wall hanger.

It's. As far as I can tell a Bear Tigercat 62" AMO, 50# @ 28" from the 70's?
It has a couple dings and a couple screw holes frome a clicker and a sight? But it is still very shootable. The glass is perfect.

Is it a nomad? Or a wasp? Browning made some really nice bows... I almost picked one up a couple months ago but it was $100 more than I wanted to spend. I also have an old Shakespeare that is just awesome. I really like old bows. If I ever find a Browning Backpacker I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Cool. I bet it spits an arrow pretty good. I am always amazed at how well these old bows shoot. New bows, even customs don't shoot all that much better unless you get into the new super recurves.

Shot it today for about 20 mins. Shoots straight. Is pretty quick... Needs a new string. I need heavier arrows to quiet it down a bit I think.

Got a new string and tuned this bow a bit. The old string was a very well made flemish twist, I would feel bad just throwing it out so I cut it up and made it into string silencersgave it some new life. Now the bow is very quiet and shoots pretty good at 13 yards in my basement.
