sowerby Creek logging access?

Ive spent some time up this road in the past, last right by silver lake. Last november I saw that there is a locked gate because of logging going on up higher on the road in the valley. Spoke with a looging security guy who was friendly.Does anyone know if this is still going on, or whether the gate is passable with quad. Last I saw it looked pretty hard to get around the gate. Want to get up into the bowls up there for a day trip maybe a night.

I was up there on opening weekend in April and it was still closed. It is not passable at all with a quad either only by walking.
