My attempt at 30-06 vs Water Bottle in "slower" motion

We were sighting in our rifles on Friday and I decided to try and make a video with the 1080p HD 60 FPS cam.

It turned out ok, but two issues... one is that youtube would only do 8x slow motion and the other is that it seems to compress the video causing distortions and artifacts. The original one slowed down to 3fps looks great though, especially on the 40" TV.

I *think* the camera is ok, but I was having some battery life issues after this. I decided to gamble and take it out of its protective case so it would sit properly with less hassle... bit of a mistake.

What kind of camera were you using? Hopefully the camera isn't damaged too bad!

    Pretty cool
I sure hope you cleaned up all that stuff you shot. I for one am tired of seeing crap left out in the bush when A$#hats cant be bothered to clean up after themselves

It's an SJ-4000 (cheap go-pro-like knock off) ... I tested it a bit more. The batteries only show 2/3 bars. Though I did try recording and playing back a few minutes of video and the batteries didn't die after 10 seconds like the day after I shot the water bottle. I'll have to test a little more before I decide to rely on it for anything. I would like to get a spring bear on video. In the summer I'll be doing a bunch more flyfishing vids and some underwater snorkeling/crayfish-trapping vids. Probably going to buy a couple more of these cams anyway.
