    Wire haired pointers

    Anybody have one? Are there any breeders in BC for them?
    I am looking for a dog for birds but also a good family pet and fishing partner.

    I love labs and may end up going that way but I have a few other breeds tha appeal to me that I want to look into first.My biggest decision is do I want to go upland or waterfowl.

    I have a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. Great dog. Incredible nose, loves to hunt, wonderful temperment and he doesn't shed. I understand the German Wirehairs are great hunters too, but with a little more attitude.
    I don't know of any Griff breeders in BC, but there are a couple in Alberta and Washington.
