    Back pack

What's a good brand pack that has a meat shelf..thinking someone out there has one and uses it...folding or fixed ... Seems a nice way to fasten a small load to it and carry .. Thanks

Is that what you used when you packed out your Kamloops ram .. I have looked at them and they look well made .. But kinda hooked on the pack frame with a metal shelf one I could lash my day pack to.. Then remove it and turn it into a meat hauler

Just buy a cheap Taymor freighter frame with a moose bag! About $150 and it will last you for years!!

Have a Badlands 2200 and 4500. Both great packs. I've used the 2200 a lot more and it's a great day pack and has a meat shelf and great suspension system.

MR NICE frame, load sling, load lifters - very versatile system. Add a Longbow or a Metcalf over top and you are set. Or just throw it all in a 6500. MR are comfortable, bullet proof, will pack and they are proven - buy it once and never have to fix it. If all you do is pack loads, I recommend a Barneys - I personally don't have one (friends do) but if I was packing heavy all the time I would want that one!

There is a lot of EXPENSIVE High Quality packs out there.

But .. Years ago with not much excess cash ... I purchased a Camp Trails 95L External Frame for years, Packed out, Sheep, GOats, several Deer, and Moose and Elk quarters ....... no issues.

Get one with a quality belt and adjustable straps to adjust your load .......

Dont spend a fortune unless you plan on using it for decades haha

I just bought an eberlestock J107 dragonfly pack for my upcoming goat hunt then a moose hunt. Lots of room for whatever you need, and more accessories to accommodate bow hunters and rifle hunters. It's expensive but I like it enough to be sold on it.
