    New Years Morning Shoot

Got out with franchi Kid and Field marshal yesterday for a new years day shoot. We were looking to mostly target ducks but ended up having flocks of geese on us quite constantly with only 12 silhouettes and a flapper! First flock was 3 widgeon, all fell and Franchi kid landed a double. Ducks started to come in more once it warmed up a bit later in the day. Franchi kid had to run a marathon in waders to get a wounded goose because the dog stayed with me to get a suzie. James made some real nice shots and killed 8 of the ducks as well. 16 ducks, 6 bonus geese was the final tally. Thanks guys, it was a good way to start off 2015.

Great hunt guys. I`d love to hunt ducks/geese this time of year but my season is usually over by end of October.

Well done lads. Wish we still had birds flying up here, but the only thing flying here is snow. Great picture. Keep up the good work.
