    BC Logging Schedules??

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out logging info throughout BC??
Meaning, if I were to look at a map of a particular area, can I find out..

What areas have been logged and when?? ( yes, I know, it can be seen on google earth etc, but when where they made? )
What areas are under logging activity now??
What areas are scheduled to be logged in the future and when??

I was told there was an app? or some way to obtain this info, ( industry people ) but I don't know where to
start to look or whom to call,
I just understood that it exists for some in the logging industry, just curious if we can get that same info, and if so , how??

Not sure if it is still available but you used to be able to go into a forestry office and ask for a forest cover map
It gave a detailed picture of the inventory for a specific area showing species , burns , and block treatment info such as year logged , planted , spaced etc.
    old school stuff on paper

might find something using this info

I would say your best bet is to contact the licensee for the area you are interested in. They have some pretty informative maps in my experience, however I've always obtained them for work, so I'm not sure if they hand them out to the general public.

You may need to do some reading on how to use it but this shows you any past, current and future logging along with a million other things.

    Re: BC Logging Schedules??

If you google iMap BC it will take you to a government site. On the right hand side of the page you will see "Launch Application Public". Click on that. It will take you to a zoomed out view of the province. Once you zoom into your area play around with the layers and find the cutblocks one. You might have to search Tenures, you should be able to find roads this way as well. I can't remember what info it tells you but it should say when the planned harvest dates are, and/or the dates it was harvested. If you want to dig further write down the timber mark and go to the Harvest billing site for BC (https://www15.for.gov.bc.ca/hbs/). Here you can enter the timbermark and it will tell you when wood was scaled ( A more accurate depiction of when it was logged). I use the cut to cruise section.

    Enjoy

Don't rely on Google Earth as the photos can be several years out of date.
The number and size of the clear-cuts seem to be growing exponentially.
