If one was insistant on hunting the august moose, another option is to bring up a genset and a window shaker a/c machine, you can make a large teepee/ gamepole thats enclosed with a tarp, put a 25000 btu a/c shaker in there and it will pass you by until a space is available at the butcher or why. The little a/c units are cheap as borsch now and will work, its prehistoric, but will work!
