I've seen grouse around Chilliwack, but it's not what I would call a hotspot for them. LM is not home to a ton of grouse. Better chance around Hope, but I'd head up the Coq a ways, the time you spend driving will be worth it if you see more birds.
To warm barrels and cold noses
We have a cabin at Chilliwack lake at I've only seen about 5 in all the years I've bee there, although I didn't look for them before I started hunting
I'd say X2 on heading up the Coq a little ways
I live in chilliwack, and the grouse are here, but far and few in between.
Up the coq, would probably be more productive.
I saw one grouse in the wack in 10 years fishing it.
Yipieeee
1. Human over population
2. Government burden and overreach
Any of the forest service rds north of Hope along the Fraser canyon should take you into good spots.
But then what do I know? I'm just a lowly woodcutter.
Ive seen lots of grouse in chilliwack. Busted a covey last year driving up to mt cheam when I arrowed one of them in arhery season. Seen a few up chilliwack lake . one by the hatchery. I usually see at least 1 per trip. The deer bear and grouse are all there. Its not bird country by any means and like others have said the further you go you may see more game or you might just get skunked. Nothing wrong with getting to know your back yard. But most importantly have fun.
everyone is talking about all the grouse this year, yet all I'm seeing is rabbits.
Saw lots hiking the hills off the Coq. A mixed bag of ruffed and blues.

The measure of a man is not how much power he has, it's how he wields it.
Anybody tried around Pemberton to Lillooet area?
