    it should be.
I'm not familiar with it that much, but all it should take is some cruising on some remote roads to find out.
that said, I'm not sure which year of their cycle we are in.
could be a slower year in general possibly.

Those will be some expensive grouse, what's the non residence licence up to these days, last time a buddy came over it was like $170....

You'll be good to go around horsefly.

    I need a hunting & fishing license. maybe $250 to $300 range.
Is there sharpe tail in region 5?
What kind of country should i look for?
It's all new to me. I hunt chukar & quail in nevada & oregon.
I know what to look for when scouting for them, country along the thomson river
    looks real good.
    thanks for all your help

Sharp-Tail grouse is present in region 5: Roadsides, and areas that hold dandelion, clover, and berries are good spots, as it gets colder, look for lodgepole pine areas with kinnikinnik (bearberry) are good spots.

as for grouse in general, anytime is good, but I find the afternoons are the best, and just go for a drive, you'll see them roadside, filling their crop with pebbles.

You WILL find grouse around Horsefly & general vicinity.. maybe more blue (dusky) and possibly spruce at higher elevations; ruffed should be anywhere you find aspen trees. Sharp-tails might be harder to find in that area... more of them in the northern part of R5, west & NW of Quesnel... check the grassy areas & landings in the big pine clearcuts. Could certainly be chukar around the drier parts of the Thompson river, but beware of land ownership. On the more open grazing lands, it's hard to find Crown (public) land amongst the private (where you need permission to hunt)
