So headed out for our grouse /deer hunt this weekend. With the temps being warm we were not expecting to see any deer so we focused our efforts on grouse. So with a late arrival to our spot we started the 5 hr round trip hike. This hike would consist of side trails of over grown alder and aspen thickets. Last year was a bad year for grouse so this year we were hoping for it to be a rebound year, and boy it was. In total we flushed 16 birds and were able to fill a 2 man limit.
