Re: Straight, rh offset and 3 degree helical

I shoot a hoyt alphamax 32 set at 60# with blazer vanes and carbon express mutiny shafts. I am very happy with the 3 degree helical setup. This is a hunting bow though. I practice at 65yards and am very happy with performance. I am able to hit a 12 inch target a high percentage of times at 80 yards. I am also using a whisker biscuit. Best thing is to fletch a few with each setup and see what the groups are like. When trying new things out with mybow I whoot them all without looking at what arrow I am pulling. I aim for the same spot several times and mark what arrow hit where and shoot them over until I have shot each setup 3 or 4 times and that's gives me my group without bias. I like to peg a Styrofoam plate to my block and shoot at it and mark with a sharpie.

Shrinking and fixed. Wow I'll stick to guns, archery sounds to dangerous.

For my compound and plastic vanes I use 2-3 degrees right offset. For feathers with my recurves I use the right helical clamp and right wing feathers.
