    First Bear

I had the 26th of May off work and decided to go out for a hunt. I usually hunt west of PG but since it was raining out that way we headed north. We were driving out towards a cut block and we seen a big bear run across the road, but he wasn't stopping. Not even 5 minutes later we come around a corner into the cut block and there was another bear standing 200 yards in front of us. We stopped the truck and the wind was blowing right into our face so we decided to stalk in closer. We got to a good spot we could see and I put the bi-pod on a stump and took aim. One shot from the 300 ultra mag and the bear dropped. We waited 15 minutes or so, and drove up the road to where we seen him drop. He was right in the middle of the road! Afterwards we ranged the shot to 116 yards. I was pretty pumped, and am looking forward to some good sausage and pepperoni.
