My boys want to try and look at a grouse skull.

Do you have any recommendations on what I can do to clean a grouse skull?

you can do it the same as any cleaning up any other skull, but is much more delicate and gentle work, I tried but not my forte lol

you can find some tips on youtube, but I would imagine beetles would be probably pretty good for delicate skulls like grouse

Literally just threw a bear skull in a bucket of water this morning otherwise I definitely would have shipped it over, all the way thawed out and probably a bit too soggy to fish out now.

Edit: gotta love when 4 year old posts get revived, didn't look at the date on this one lol

if anyone is looking to have their skulls done, I'm in Abby and have taken a keen interest in Euro'ing skulls! I don't do beetles though. I do them manually by hand and simmering to degrease and whiten! PM me if interested in having yours done!!!!

If you have heard of Ryan Olsen or Whitebone Creations I do a similar method to him!!! Below is a link to what he does!

If you want to do your own but don't have the materials/equipment/supplies I'm sure we could help you do your own as well!!!
