What is the longest range you have taken a big game animal?

Longest shot was on a Whitetail deer in Alberta. 457 Yards at about -20C.
338 Win Mag, 180 Gr Nosler Accubond. Rest was me prone using a bipod to steady the shot, on an elevated pile of dirt covered in snow with a white blanket to cover me (no snow camo). Dropped in its tracks.

On a separate trip, similar situation, 428 yards very similar weather.

Rifle is a Sako M995 (TRG-S) with a brake and recoil pad installed by GunTech which made this thing nice to shoot, Bushnell 6-24x50 FFP Mil Dot scope.

I have both bullets (as well as photos) found in the off-side hide. Mushroomed perfectly after passing through ribs, lungs etc.

And for archery, this year on a nice Mulie buck in the Peace area, was 60 yards on the dot, with a Hoyt Carbon Element @ ~60 lbs, 100gr G5 Montec.

Arrow went all the way through but was sticking out from each end, on a moderately high lung shot, until it broke off (somehow - think the shoulders pushing back on it broke the shaft) and the front half fell out which I found the next day, buck moved off about 30-35 yards and stood til be bled out (almost 10 minutes until he fell over).

350 yards mule deer two years ago, 243, 100 grain gr.
My son (i was with him and used the rangefinder) 428 yards, 30.06 165 gr and didnt move more than ten yards before dropping.

Red stag at 320m with 7mm mag. Dropped in 3m.
Not far in this peeing competition.

White tail buck at 470yds with my 270win. I took a shot at ~ 200yds. They way he bucked/jumped I thought I hit him low but he hit the Christmas trees before I could get a second shot. When he showed himself again he was 470ish. When I got up to him I could see that my first shot split the hide across the bottom of his chest. Second shot hit him in the spine, he never moved again.
