Just on digital, these were taken in June. Believe me, I went back looking for them in September, they must have knew I was coming and split town!
I consider "for fun" to be adequate reason enough...

Heard my first Ruffed Grouse the other day, I thought I was having a heart attack...I could feel the drumming in my chest that clearly! I don't think I had heard it in the wild before, thought it was pretty cool once I figured out what it was.

Very interesting, that website shows that there are no Blue grouse on the west coast of British Columbia. I beg to differ.

I believe that website says there are no Dusky grouse on the west coast of British Columbia... Because the kind of Blue Grouse you find there is the Sooty! Still, those maps are certainly nowhere being the most accurate representation of Bird range, simply something to give a rough idea to those interested. Definitely Blue Grouse there, the Sooty's love that country we Hunters so often associate with Blacktail Deer.

Blue Grouse are one of our most wonderous Bird species! Very tasty animals and an all around great bird to Hunt.
