    looks like a great dog! nothing like wild pheasants to chase behind a dog that gets it. love the honkers as well.

    The only release birds I hunt are, if im lucky enough to get in on the taber pheasant fest. Got 3 hunts last season, And only 1 pic (the one with the 6 on the wire) are of released birds

    Really wish I woulda taken a better picture (I was very new to taking field pics)

    These were all wild birds, limit for 5 guys in a couple hours. It was a great morning

    AND I guess since im at it, Heres a short video my hunting buddy put together of my GSP and his 2 weims.
    At one point in the vid, you can see my dog on the far hillside holding point, while his 2 dogs are working different birds (notice how long she holds )

    great video…good to see the pheasant population doing so well. i have been to a few pheasants forever fund raisers in calgary, as well as have hunted in alberta, lots of money is put into buying land, and habitat enhancement programs in agreements with farmers, government etc…this province could learn some things and get behind initiatives like that, rather than bitch about how many birds there used to be in the province.

    Great pics. Looks like your dog had a really productive season. Would love to do a road trip to southern Alberta to chase pheasants.
