When and where is the meeting? I'd love to see what the local bowyers have for sale and to have the chance to meet some of you guys.

Saw rollingrock's recurve last spring whike bear hunting. Definately a beautiful bow

Howard Hill made his bows out of bamboo, nodes and all with no problem. Fibreglass backing and facing makes the nodes irrelevant.

A two-piece takedown was just born...53"...all bamboo. Prototype only for now, 200+ fps.

Not being a bowman I'll never own one of those bows but I can certainly appreciate the beautiful and craftsmanship in them. Absolute eye candy.

The recent short horn bows....no fiberglass, only Tonkin bamboo, one-piece water buffalo horns and sinew. Shoot really well..

Beautiful bows . what are the specs on them and is the flatbow a reflex/deflex design ? How does it compare to the siyahed bow ?

All these ones are around 49" strung. Draw weight can be as high as 60 lbs with a draw between 26" to 30". The "flatbow" is an Assyrian bow, it's not exactly a reflex/deflex design. But close....It's different from siyahed bow, which is more Turkish. Alex used to shoot one of these made by himself. That thing was short (46") and fast. But it was a laminated fiberglass bow.

The all natural material bows are nice, but they are a little bit slower than the modern fiberglass laminated bows if in the same design. The animals however won't feel the difference.
