Second mule deer I have ever taken and it may be hard to top it.
Was out Saturday morning with my uncle, looking for a meat buck. First group of deer we come across are over a bank and I cannot make out much of anything. I walked down the road a few steps to get a better vantage point. I see three does and one set of antlers sticking up from below a small ridge and they are wide. I move a few more steps down the road, crouch down, and steady for the shot and let fire. Hit him in lungs, he took ten step (Down the hill further of course) and came to rest on a pile of old timbers.
Great feeling when I got an up close look at the character buck. The 110 yard pull up hill was certainly worth it for this fella.
