Ok, I guess the big boat is out of the question. That being said has anybody done the cartopper thing and went for moose? How far can you get up river, say for a sept 10 opening?

Seen that cabin. Nice set up. Just a quick buz to the Matthew.
Murphy was a ******* that day! lol... But,,, The guy whos motor it was is a bit of a doo it yourselfer.... he took it home,, and "Fixed it" then brought it on a duck hunt... Well.... Good thig we also brought dads Merc ... 2 boats 2 motors.... Well now becomes 1 boat 2 trips... lol
Srupp, When you said "Ghost lake outfitters" I immeadiatly knew that was who owned the cabbin! im not for going to cabbins to stay when i dont know who owns/built them. If you want to go to the end of that lake,,, its a haul it looks like,,, and be careful of the wind, we had camp blown down in the campsite one day. So if you pack a 12' tinnie down there to do it, follow the shoreline so you can easily get there and pull out when the huricane hits.
Whe that wind hit us we drove into a big cutblock.... it WAS a hurricane
There was a 14-16 foot John boat with a 30-40 OB jet parked there when I went there a few weeks ago. Assumed it was the guides.
Zorn used to have a Jet sled there too.
I had a LEH in there a few years ago, not much Moose sign around. I think the guide is no longer active in that area?
