Just searched "steak marinade" and found this string - will be trying the milk soak sometime after mrs goes to sleep! Folks recommend 2% or other? Rest of string pretty cosistent with my marinades although I like to add cheap red wine, little lemon juice and some Rosemary as science has justified my feeding the family 2+ Steak meals of elk/moose a week (not counting burger meals) without serious health issues of lots of red meat.
just wondering if anybody has any 'crazy' sounding but delicious marinades? I'd like to expand the kitchen abilities and maybe surprise buddy's when we're entertaining.
Here's one I came across this year, I can't take credit for it, it came from a lady in AK.
*1/3 cup soy sauce
* 1/2 cup olive oil
* 1/3 cup lemon juice
* 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
* 1 tablespoon garlic powder
* 3 tablespoons dried basil
* 1 tablespoon dried parsley
* dash of pepper
Let them soak for about 6 hrs, don't rinse off the marinade, in fact brush it on while bbq'ing like you would bbq sauce. Nummy!
