I am assuming that there will be a few more on the Mainland that you won't be able to get on the island, but this little article covers a good portion of the prize mushrooms in BC.

And on that note. With the mushrooms due to come out very soon with this very amazing weather we have been having. I pose a question to anyone on the south Island. There used to be a foraging group that would buy any foods you could bring in to them. From mushrooms to blackberries and dandelion. They went under last year as far as I know...Does anyone know of where you can drop off crop items for cash now??

My go to book is the Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms. In fact it is sitting on my desk right now. Seen some fungi growing on a ceiling of a house for sale and was curious what it was!!

Look around is there someone you can introduce to shooting because that’s the only way we will buck the anti gun trend sweeping Canada! "tigrr 2006"

Found a great patch of shaggy parasols while visiting the inlaws in Quebec this September. I even did a spore print to confirm but I could only convince one other person to try them. I was fine with that as they were too tasty to share! Here's an example of a spore print for those that may be interested.
