I am assuming that there will be a few more on the Mainland that you won't be able to get on the island, but this little article covers a good portion of the prize mushrooms in BC.
And on that note. With the mushrooms due to come out very soon with this very amazing weather we have been having. I pose a question to anyone on the south Island. There used to be a foraging group that would buy any foods you could bring in to them. From mushrooms to blackberries and dandelion. They went under last year as far as I know...Does anyone know of where you can drop off crop items for cash now??

Found a great patch of shaggy parasols while visiting the inlaws in Quebec this September. I even did a spore print to confirm but I could only convince one other person to try them. I was fine with that as they were too tasty to share! Here's an example of a spore print for those that may be interested.
