A few weeks ago a buddy found this cow hung up on his gate. Got a grinder and cut the top rail to release her. She laid down a few hours and eventually was able to get up. Leg was not broken.

Did you ever see that photo of the Alaska bull moose that got his antlers tangled in a hydro line on the ground when it was about to be lifted up and when it was put under tension, he got hung high?

I have cut a couple of calves out of wire fences but nothing bigger.
Good on you for the release.
Cut a whitetail fawn out of a fence one time but unfortunately the leg was broken.
Let it go to let nature take its course, at least it had a chance - much better than if the coyotes had got there first.
