They are a wonderful representation of rainbow trout and thanks for noting ..... great dotting, beautiful color, healthy and chubby, and they can be quite aerial.
Some of the trophy waters where I fish large trout, once hooked, can be belly draggers on the bottom.
Although fun.....gotta love the jumpers more regardless of size.
Up yesterday and pulled a couple cams and sniffed around checking for scrapes and fresh rubs.
Found a few light tinkles and no aggressive scrapes.
Any day now.
Younger little bucks are pretty active during daylight hours now, same for does.
The couple better 5x5's are still operating on vampire hours.
No hammers to date but they should drop down any time now.
Does certainly have a pecking order!
Note the secondary cam in the background.

Interesting......
This fawn is putting a run on a younger doe.
Her mother is very aggressive and you know what the say......
Like mother, like daughter.

Product comment.....
All trail cams are not created equal !!!
Note how the second cam misses this doe that trotted thru the shared field of view due to a slower trigger speed.
Initial cam easily picked her up.

The "slow trigger" cam picked this buck up several times on the latest set.
The opposing cam did not get a single video of him.....hmmmmm.
Wonder why I run multiple cams on any of my better big buck spots!!?
I added a third cam in this general area yesterday within a few hundred meters.
There are 2 scrapes that generally get destroyed every year.
Cam is 15 meters back focused on these.
Hope to get some good scraping action in the days to come.

Miss whitetails, and the living vicariously is well appreciated!
Cheers,

Great stuff. Thanks again for sharing. One of my favorite threads to keep up on.
I heard a biggun was out roaming mid day yesterday, which ended up a fatal mistake for him.
