Hubby was fishing on an interior lake when he retrieved a cast and say a fly and leade hooked to his hook.
he grabbed the fly and started pulling, pretty soon the leader turned into fly line and then backing and then the reel and rod!
What are the odds in a big lake of hooking a tiny fly hook with your lure?
Aso fishing in the Cheakamus a few years ago, hubby says fish on! but it's not very big.
He reeled in one very dead mouse that had drowned in the river. Now the Cheak can flow pretty fast so again, strange odds to cast out and hook a drowned mouse that is floating by. Somewhere I have a picture of the mouse still on his hook.

Bottom bouncing with some wool I caught a baseball sized rock...with a green spinner/yellow body panther martin lodged in the same crack.
Caught my right ear once learning to fly cast in a strong cross wind. lol
Lots of rocks in the ocean usually hooked into the remains of where some critter was attached. Diving duck, line hooked to a 12 lb coho that I hand bombed in and landed on a river, a couple times a ling cod not hooked at all just glommed on to the tail half of a rock cod that'd just bit that's always always a fun one. ..
The most entertaining thing I caught was a old Transistor Radio in Buntzen Lake ... I took it home and dried it out... Put some fresh batteries in and it still works to this day..!!!
The only thing I can get on it is Senile 650.. Being it is a 1964 radio..
