Is that the tribe whose "chief" threatened BC Wildfire staff with "bullets" if they came on their territory to fight fires about 3-4 years ago and then this same character was awarded the Order of Canada, last spring............
Well, I spent over 20 years fighting fire in the BCFS, Alberta FS and private companies. I will only say that his attitude is exactly what is exacerbating serious racism in BC and Canada, in general. If, this happens, bloodshed will follow........
Atta Boy Otto  RJ
How sadly true, and the entire BC legislature apparently supported the UNDRIP bulls**t as Horgan boasted of on yesterday's Global News.......what a pathetic disgrace.
I recognise tribes and bands, BUT, to quote the great John George Diefenbaker, "Canada,....one country....your country and my country"........
Guys, anyone actually have an answer?
Was in the general area this October. You can get a map online showing the boundary. Would be best to stay out of the Nemaiah Valley and I wouldn't venture too far down the Taseko Lake Rd.
Think its on page 42 in the regs. Here is a more detailed map Map_DeclaredTitleArea_2018.pdf (tsilhqotin.ca)
Thanks everyone.
I again am not sure but are the First Peoples not a bit hostile in that valley ?

Who draws the boundary lines on the MAP ? :roll:RJ
Uncle Joe is the mouthpiece west of the Fraser that has asked anyone without a status card to stay away. Maps mean nothing out there. I wouldn’t leave a camp or vehicle unattended anywhere out there. Hopefully Mr Rupp will chime in.
Very sad indeed what happens that as a resident of this province that you paid your taxes to , your dues , contributed to the provinces society, and you can’t go wander , hike , fish , camp ,and hunt there .

That’s a lot of nice topography !

We hunted in the Nemiah vallley about 8-10 years ago for a moose leh. [ We made an error on the leh code and won the 5-4 draw ] We stayed at a rec site at Big Lake. We weren't successful on the hunt but weren't bothered by any locals or anyone either. Drove around a bunch and checked out lots of the area.
The problem with that area is they have gated and blocked FSR's outside their territory. Plenty of other area to hunt though. Just need to make sure your camp is secure.
Can someone describe the Difference between TERRITORY vs RESERVATION for me please ? RJ
First Nation population has exceeded 1 million. this country's welfare wagon is getting bigger and bigger.
Big Lake is a loooong way from Nemiah. Jimmy Lulua is the chief in Nemiah. He’s a very strong advocate, but not quite as caustic as Joe. At least Jimmy resides in Nemiah, Joe has chosen a more comfortable abode near 150 Mile.
