Re: spring bear 2018
I got a colour phase last year, and it was rather small. This year I'd like to find a large jet black bear, but will settle for anything to fill my freezer.
I think I might head over to Vancouver Island for the first time.

Re: spring bear 2018
Just going bear hunting and odds are I will spend more time helping others fill tags then hunt myself
If I see the right bear out alone then it will be my turn. It’s got to be real big or a nice one and I am in the mood
Have this habit of changing my mind once up close lol

Re: spring bear 2018
We’ll be open to taking a smaller bear that’s good to eat. We’ve got a really nice one at the taxidermy currently. North island, nice hotel, good meals, hunt by day and swill beer in front of the tv by night. We usually see lots, so we’ll pick out one or two for the butcher.
One of my goals is to get satellite radio in the truck by the spring. The big goal for 2018 is to get wolves! We’ve heard them where we hunt, but have never seen them.

Re: spring bear 2018
Cant wait, although I will more than likely be road hunting a lot more than I like due to some health difficulties. Regardless I am one eager SOB.

Re: spring bear 2018
Hmmm most colored bears are under 6 feet.
Personally headed out for a specific red colored massive black bear..seen him 2 of last 3 years..all within 500 yards.
Going to help a friend get his first black bear with a stick and string..
Good luck to all

Re: spring bear 2018
No rush for me,
will be out every night after work looking for The big guy. Only pulling the trigger on a rug worthy bear.
Saving one one tag for a August berry bear.
