Looking for mallard call suggestions
I'm in the market for a good sounding mallard duck call. Want to get something decent but I won't be buying one of the acrylic ones that are in the $150 range,,,,,so please avoid throwing one of those in as an option. LOL
What one do you have ,,,,or would like to have if you were in the market for another?
Re: Looking for mallard call suggestions
Haven't hunted ducks in years now, but when I did, I used to use Haydel calls. Not expensive, but sound vey good. Shot lots of birds using those calls.
Re: Looking for mallard call suggestions
I have an original Olt 66 that is a dream to use. Just don’t know if you’ll ever get your hands on one.

A friend told me the Illinois River Valley #66 call is a very close facsimile so I've been considering that one.
Re: Looking for mallard call suggestions
zink ATM in polycarb going to be one of the best calls in that price range
Re: Looking for mallard call suggestions
Nothing that has Duck Commander on it, really over rated. A good inexpensive call is the Buck Gardner Spitlogic duck call, never freeze up, The wooden Sure Shot Game Calls Yentzen duck call 500 is great call for the money. I'v got some old OLT calls that are great until they freeze up.
