I have my Partner's 400 Bulldog right here (doing a little work on it for him).
It gets cocked with their rope cocker.
It is actually a little less effort to do so than my 380 Matrix.

.Does the 400 have issues,i think i will go buy one if not.thank you.
The new 420 TD has a cocking effort of 14 lb and 15 pounds with the 440 compared to a hundred thirty lb with the 380. The new bows have a brand new cranking system

None that I am aware of, and nothing really on the Excalibur Forum turned up in a quick search there.
My Partner would have likely gone with the 380, had he found one before the 400 Bulldog.
Having shot that one a few times myself, it seems like the standard Excalibur issue: Tough, Accurate and Reliable.

Yup, the Assassin 420TD sure looks like the "one" I would like to have.
Packable, Fast, and like the "rising cheek piece".
