Vortex Diamondback HD 10X28 Binoculars Opinion Wanted

Anyone have any real-life experience with Vortex Diamondback HD 10X28 Binoculars? Yes, I know about the negatives of compact binos and they would mainly be for incidental use i.e. it would be more likely to have them with me when not actually hunting than my larger 10X42s.

I have also been looking at Pentax AD 10X28 (similar price as the Vortex) and Kowa BD 10X25 ($120 more).

I am not interested in paying $1K plus for Leica/Zeiss/Swarovski compacts as I am already heavily invested in high end glass.
