Re: Blinds and face netting
Second question how many of you use a camo mask,? Never did until 5 years ago but would not go out now without one ,or black face paint..
Re: Blinds and face netting
I use 30ft. of 5ft. high burlap, they have big rolls of it at Buckerfields feed store. Cheap and light weight.
A couple of cans of camo brown and green spray paint and you are good to go!! Oh did I mention CHEAP!!!!
Cheers----Field Marshal.
Re: Blinds and face netting
in a place like the pic I would be more likely to bring something to sit on and don't move rather then set up a whole blind. If you are set on a whole blind, is prementaliy setting something up not an option( so you don't have to lug it back and forth every outing?)
we use layout blinds and depending on what we are doing rotate them out. For instance if we are goose hunting the dekes are in 12 slot bags that go over our shoulders, we will use a blind that carries like a back pack. i.e ghg ground force, or power hunter. IF we are duck hunting they usually go ina big bag decoy bag that is carried like a back back so we opt to use a sling carried lay out., i.e avery finisher.
I never use a facemask or paint.

Black face paint and a decoy, are absolute necessities for the 2013/2014 season in certain shooting circles...I'm told.

Ha Ha good one though I think he still looks more like a pirate than a sidekick
Re: Blinds and face netting

Re: Blinds and face netting
Depending on the situation I use face paint, I just cant stand a face mask, get claustrophobic, I like to use it in the layouts, that way I can keep my face exposed and have a better view of whats going on.
Re: Blinds and face netting
old thread but thought to mention that I use this https://www.huntinggearguy.com/equip...e-mask-review/ easy to set up and it is set up away from your face. I specifically did not like having a mask right on my face and because I use glasses didn't like how my breath would fog up my glasses so I investigated the bunkerheads and got one. Works pretty well and does not interfere with cheek weld when you get up your shotty
Re: Blinds and face netting
face paint is like a waterfowlers war paint
