upland hunting around grand forks

hello. I was wondering what species and what kind of bird hunting is available in the grand forks area. friends of mine just moved there and I thought I'd like to try hunting down there if I go and visit. I'm from up north so have little experience hunting anything other than grouse. I'm a half decent wing shot so I thought quail and pheasants might be fun. is it all private land down there or are there public areas that hold birds too? never been down there. I see some quail in armstrongcwhen I go down but never been as far as grand forks.
