new hunter in Vancouver

Hi everyone,

Totally new to hunting, but I'd love to get into it and learn as much as I can. So far I've got my PAL and CORE licences, but that's about it.

Any experienced hunters willing to take a rookie under its wing? Send me a pm.

Living in Vancouver, but always up for a drive :)

Hey Bearatti,

Saw this thread here, and I'm also a newbie hunter out of Vancouver, looking to go out on some hunts. I've never been out in the field yet, but I'm planning some hunts in April, May and June if you're interested.

Hi Chris,

I noticed you're pretty active and keen to take out some new hunters. I'm just starting out, and planning to go out to Chilliwack April 20th, for a deer hunt. Any plans for that weekend?

Seems he hasn't looked at them yet.

all though some guys might take you out..
if you do not have a none mentour..eat wild provides a great service google it...he is a great guy and i met him more than once in similiar spots across the province...he is ethical and loves teaching..
in addition joining any club would really help.

I would second this recommendation. I have taken a couple of Dylan’s (eat wild) courses and he is erg knowledgeable and has lots of wisdom to share. I would suggest doing the weekend hunters workshop.

I third that. Took both CORE and firearms course with EatWild. Totally worth it!

I know its an older thread... but I, as well, am a new hunter, I have my pal, Ive taken the eatwild core course, I drive up to PCDHFC every chance I get to practice my shooting and Ive done my best to study and understand the regs and I'm eager to take advantage of my blackbear tag. Unfortunately I cant just drop 2000$+ on eatwild hunting trip without hearing about it for the next 5 years from my significant other. Lol. If someone is available during the week to meet up, maybe we can organize something and head out for a dayhunt.
Experienced hunters are awesome, but I wouldn't frown upon going out and hunting with another newb either. I just wanted to throw that out there and maybe connect with other hunters in my area.
