Re: Coward Goofs poach a yearling bighorn sheep by Spence's bridge
Very sad. The only positive put come would be hunting and fire arm bans, steep fines directly into conservation and jail time.
But this isn't a perfect world.
Punish poachers to the full extent
Re: Coward Goofs poach a yearling bighorn sheep by Spence's bridge
umm that lamb would be tasty....
but had to be a complete moron to shoot it.
Re: Coward Goofs poach a yearling bighorn sheep by Spence's bridge
all joking aside can we not get some zoom in pics of this weirdos....start a hbc wall of shame...there must have been a vehicle?
Re: Coward Goofs poach a yearling bighorn sheep by Spence's bridge
yeah, funny that there isn't more footage or followup
and what is that guy carrying for a firearm ? seems awfully short
Re: Coward Goofs poach a yearling bighorn sheep by Spence's bridge
I would assume that he/she only saw it transpiring, thus not seeing the "actual shots being taken".
And, once those guys got up and turned around, and them both noticing that they might have been just "busted" by the person recording, I ask this, would you want to still be standing there with your phone filming as they approach back towards you with guns in hand, and realizing that you are filming it.
I think my video would get shut down quick and back in the truck and gone asap to go report and get away from those clowns.
Who knows what lengths they would go to???

Absolutely no excuse. It is the hunter's responsibility to fully identify that an animal is legal to hunt BEFORE shooting it. Furthermore, shooting at something if you don't 100% know exactly what it is would constitute Careless Use of a Firearm, which is a criminal offence under the Criminal Code of Canada.

Wow..Greetings from Alberta
that location is just south of the cliffs JUST as you enter Spenses Bridge..across from Acaddia rv and Cabins..where the big flag flies.its the flats where the hydro electric chain linked compound.
Always sheep there and traditional sheep killing fields for natives.
Find whoever did this.. $20,000 fine confiscate vehicle, all weapons lifetime ban
pathetic..baby sheep dont look like any other animals.
Very upsetting.

That’s sad...
i hope they get the book thrown at them.
Re: Coward Goofs poach a yearling bighorn sheep by Spence's bridge
These people native or white?
Jel -- just wondering dint want to look at film --?
Re: Coward Goofs poach a yearling bighorn sheep by Spence's bridge
As someone else pointed out, that specific spot is well within the hwy no shooting zone,
so even considering the absurd 'thought it was a deer' scenario, there's no way it should
have happened.
