Starting to lean towards a range finding bino. Leica 10x42 Geovid HD-R for $3k. Could liquidate my Leica 1600-b rangefinder (a real stud of a product!) and my current binos for around $1k. So technically I'd only be into the new unit for $2k, and eliminate an extra piece of gear. This makes perfect sense:)
I had a hunting partner who had a set of the Leica Geovid with the range finder and it was really cool until it got to the magic hour, late in the day, when all the bucks come out to play and they were SO dark compared to the Swaros - unless things have changed with them in the last 3 years, I would not go that way. Just my $0.02

I have the Razor 8x42's...they are going to my boy... I'm looking at swaorovski's and Leica ultravids in 8x42's..the 2 are not in the same league IMO.

Nope vortex isn't close to any other optic in quality lol

When it comes to bush planes the comparison you always hear is "it's almost like a cub".
When it comes to binos you always hear, "they're almost like Swarovskis.
IMO both comparisons are worth listening to.
