Fly fishing rivers near West Kelowna
Hi Guys,
grovelling for info again... I've been doing quite a bit of fly fishing and
trolling (where allowed) on the lakes up on the Coquihalla Plateau.
Finally got to fly fish some rivers on the Island and have been absolutely
hooked!
Seems that I am in a pretty horrible spot for fly rivers here (live in West Kelowna)
does anyone know a river in the "near" vicinity that does yield somewhat?
The Kootenays are becoming a bit of a far drive on the regular...
As always, appreciate you all!
Re: Fly fishing rivers near West Kelowna
I haven't fished there in decades but Pennask Lake used to be pretty awesome. If I lived West Kelowna I'd look up that way for some creeks.

I've tried Bear Creek, Smith Creek etc but they just don't yield anything.
I do fish up in the Pennask area but want to hit a few creeks sometime :)

Kettle River and West Kettle river by beaverdell would be the closest.

Be sure to check the regs. I think there are some serious restrictions on those two rivers.
